Junior Surf
“Junior Surf is designed to nurture children’s confidence, deepen their understanding of beach and coastal environments, and enhance their skills in and around the water. ”
About the Programme
Our junior surf lifesaving programme is for children aged 6 to 13. We foster confidence and safety in the surf and on the beaches. Participants will learn surf lifesaving techniques, such as wading, duck diving, body surfing, craft operation, and so much more! Junior surf pool assessment takes place in November each year at the Levin Aquatics centre. Sessions are run by volunteer lifeguards and parents. Please note this is not a drop off session, a parent or guardian must accompany a child to the beach. Be prepared to help with beach ativites, cooking on the BBQ and joining a group in the water.
